Owner

Dave Kennedy, the owner of The Grounds Guys, has always had a passion for entrepreneurship. In 2006, he set out with a dream of running his own business, and by 2007, that dream became a reality. With years of dedication, hard work, and vision, he has successfully built a thriving business. Outside of work, Dave and his Wife, Shannon, enjoy spending time with their four kids and two grandchildren, embracing the joys of family life. Dave and Shannon share a love for sports, boating, fishing, traveling and spending summer weekends at the cottage on the water. In 2013 and 2016, Dave won the Franchise of the Year award due to his exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to the success of the company. Dave continues to lead with integrity and vision, always striving to make every landscape a beautiful, functional space for his clients to enjoy.

General Manager

Scott is our General Manager, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario, he and his wife, Steph, are proud parents to their two daughters, Aubrey and Ava. Their summers are filled with family adventures such as camping trips, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, spending time at the beach, and golfing. In the winter, they enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Blue Mountain Resort. Scott has been an important part of our team for 15 years. As the person overseeing daily operations, he plays a key role in helping the company grow, ensuring the well-being of the staff, and fostering a positive work environment. His exceptional design skills and innovative thinking have greatly contributed to the companies success. Whether its developing new concepts, finding creative solutions to challenges, to enhancing the overall aesthetic of our projects, Scotts artistic vision consistently elevates our work. His ability to think outside of the box and bring ideas to life has made a significant impact on the companies growth and the quality of our offerings.

Office Manager

Grace has been a team member of The Grounds Guys for the past four years. Starting out as the Garden Supervisor, Grace honed her leadership and organizational skills while overseeing landscape projects. Her dedication and hard work led to her current role as Office Manager, where she efficiently handles daily operations and supports the teams growth. Outside of work, Grace enjoys hiking with her dog, and spending time by the water. She cherishes spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephews. Graces relentless dedication and drive has made her a valuable asset to our company.

Shop Manager

Mike is a highly skilled Millwright who leads our shop with dedication and expertise. Mike has been a loyal member of our team for 14 years, ensuring that everything operates smoothly. Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario. Mike has been happily married to his wife, Wendy, for 21 years. Together, they share a love for outdoor activities. Mikes hobbies include hiking, swimming, diving, fishing and BBQing. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his four nephews and two nieces. Mikes dedication and passion for both his work and family shines through in everything he does, making him an essential and valued member of our team.

Construction Supervisor

Dale is a dedicated supervisor and leader with 6 years of experience here at The Grounds Guys. Born and raised on his family farm, he now resides in Stayner, Ontario. Outside of work, Dale enjoys spending time with his three children, together they enjoy outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. Dale also has a passion for playing hockey, and cooking. Dale has a keen eye for beautiful construction designs, his attention to detail ensures that the final result are not only structurally sound but also visually stunning. Dale possesses exceptional leadership skills, making him the ideal person to take charge of the job site.

Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

John has been a loyal and committed member of our team for 15 years. Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario. He is married to his wife, Jess, and together they raise their 6 children. John enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones, whether its going on bike rides, fishing, swimming, or enjoying weekends at their cabin on the water. With 15 years of experience in landscaping, John brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to every project he oversees. John is known for his attention to detail and leadership skills, making him a valued member of our team.

Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

Drew has been a loyal member of the team for 15 years. Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario. Drew has a deep connection to the outdoors. Recently married to his wife, Sherri, they share the love for spending time outdoors, Whether its camping, hiking, or gardening. Drew has a love for tending to his fish aquariums. His passion for landscaping and gardening shines through in his love for making the outdoors look beautiful. Drew bring dedication and a natural talent for creating outdoor spaces that are both functional and visually appealing. His commitment to his work and his passion for the environment make him a valued and cherished asset to the team.

Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

Brandon grew up in Collingwood, Ontario, and now calls Creemore home, where he lives with his wife, Christine, and their daughter, Arabella. Brandon enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, some activities they enjoy include camping, kayaking, and dirt biking. Brandon enjoys working on cars in the shop and welding, skills he taught himself from a young age. His interest in welding expanded into creating unique weld art. With 8 years of experience at The Grounds Guys, Brandon brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge to his role. With a strong work ethic and a creative eye, Brandon continues to thrive, always seeking new ways to combine his expertise and passions.
