Commercial Erosion Control Services

Soil erosion is a silent threat that can slowly jeopardize the stability of your commercial property. If left unaddressed, it will create real damage. Soil erosion caused by water and wind can undermine foundations, create sinkholes, and even destabilize slopes, which can put your commercial property, building, employees, and visitors at risk. Natural forces like wind, rain, and flooding eventually wear down soil and rock, which can compromise the integrity of your commercial structure. The most common types of erosion are caused by water, wind, and ice. Given enough time and under the right circumstances, even the most stable soil can be compromised.

Don’t let soil erosion cause costly and dangerous damage to your commercial property. Call in The Grounds Guys® for commercial erosion control services. Our local teams are highly experienced in identifying soil erosion risks and implementing a customized solution for your commercial property.

Our Erosion Control Process

We offer several types of erosion control solutions based on the unique characteristics of your property. Specific recommendations will depend on the needs of your property. Here are some of the commercial erosion control methods we commonly use:

  • Retaining Walls: Creating a wall against a slope or hillside to stabilize the land
  • Hydroseeding: Quickly establishes vegetation by spraying a mixture of seeds, mulch, fertilizer, and water onto larger areas of land
  • Terracing: Creating level platforms on slopes to reduce water runoff velocity and prevent soil erosion
  • Erosion Control Blankets: Putting down biodegradable mats to protect soil while vegetation establishes
  • Native Plant Installation: Adding local plants to a property to establish deep root systems and naturally combat erosion
  • Water Management: Designing systems to control water flow to reduce erosion during rainfall or snowmelt

While these are some of the commercial erosion control methods we offer, contact us for a personalized evaluation and recommendation for your property.

All The Grounds Guys franchises are locally owned and operated and may offer fewer or more services than those listed here. To learn more about commercial erosion control offered in your area, contact The Grounds Guys nearest you for details or a customized on-site assessment.

Reliable landscapers who really understand horticulture are hard to come by. The Ground Guys team is one of them! They did a great job cleaning up my front yard, trimming down the main tree blocking my window. They took time to explain how the tree was trimmed and what to do for next season which I appreciated. I’m happy to recommend and use them again.

The team from Grounds Guys did an amazing job. They were courteous and cleaned up everything after they finished. They even came back the nex morning to seed around the posts and any area that the lawn got damaged. I will definitely recommend and use them for any future projects.

Great service from The Grounds Guys Barrie. The crew was at our home for four days cleaning beds, edging, moving perennials, reshaping our gardens and finally laying a ton of mulch. Jaclyn and Hailey did most of the work the first couple of days with great care and attention to detail, they worked so diligently to get everything completed to our liking. Very pleasant and knowledgeable, I loved their energy!! The rest of the crew came in the last couple of days for the remainder of cleaning and mulching, I can’t say enough about how pleasant and hard working everyone was. Thank you, you have been the best gardeners we have hired and I am very happy with the end results.

  • While there are several effective types of erosion control, three of the most common options are building retaining walls, hydroseeding, and putting down erosion blankets. Retaining walls are often used on steep slopes to stabilize the land. Hydroseeding is the practice of spraying a mixture of seeds, mulch, fertilizer, and water on land to encourage fast plant growth. Landscapers often put down biodegradable mats, known as erosion blankets, to protect soil while new vegetation grows.
